Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Recovery Nurse for a fixed-term contract. You will provide clinical and psychosocial interventions, manage a caseload of service users, assess and review care plans, co-administer medication, and facilitate group therapy. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and safety. Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with experience in mental health or healthcare settings. Experience in custodial environments and substance misuse treatment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• ● Deliver safe, effective clinical and psychosocial interventions.
• ● Act as named nurse for a caseload of service users.
• ● Assess, plan, and review care for patients with complex needs.
• ● Co-administer medication and conduct drug screening.
• ● Facilitate therapeutic group work programmes.
• ● Maintain accurate records and ensure information confidentiality.
• ● Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to support continuity of care.
• ● Ensure personal and patient safety in a secure setting.
• ● Participate in clinical audits and continuous service improvement.

Essential Criteria:

• ● Registered Nurse on NMC Register (Mental Health, Adult or equivalent).
• ● Experience in assessments, planning and delivering care in a healthcare setting.
• ● Knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment pathways.
• ● Ability to evaluate complex mental and physical health needs.
• ● Proficient IT and documentation skills.
• ● Flexible, compassionate, and committed to recovery-focused care

Desirable Skills:

• ● Experience in custodial or secure environments.
• ● Familiarity with evidence-based substance misuse treatment approaches.
• ● Risk management planning experience.
• ● Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary working.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: £24.06-£38.51 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
