Head of Kitchen – Primary School

Everest Recruitment and Services Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Kitchen on behalf of a primary school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

This opportunity is suited to a reliable and organised catering professional with previous experience working within school kitchens, catering services, or commercial kitchen environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving approximately 40 meals per day, including hot meal and packed lunch options, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, kitchen organisation, and health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing daily kitchen operations
• Preparing and serving meals within required timescales
• Ordering and monitoring food supplies
• Maintaining food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Following allergen, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures
• Working independently within a school environment

Requirements:
• Previous catering or kitchen experience required
• Food Hygiene Certificate essential
• Enhanced DBS with barred list required
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Right to Work in the UK required

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
09:00 – 13:30
