Everest Recruitment and Services is working in partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to source a Locum Specialist Doctor in Anaesthetics for an urgent vacancy at Causeway Hospital, Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

This is a 12-week assignment commencing 17 April 2026 through to 1 July 2026, Monday to Sunday, 08:00 to 17:00.

Pay and Engagement: £40.00 per hour standard rate. Enhanced rates apply for on-call, bank holiday and called-in shifts. Engaged inside IR35. Payment via PAYE or approved Umbrella Company weekly.

The Role: Acting as First On-Call Specialty Doctor and Registrar in Anaesthetics, providing first on-call cover across the hospital and delivering Intensive Care Unit cover as required. Working as part of the multidisciplinary clinical team within the Surgical and Clinical Services directorate at Causeway Hospital.

Essential Criteria: Full GMC registration active and in good standing. MB BCh or equivalent. Substantial UK experience as First On-Call Specialty Doctor or Registrar in Anaesthetics. Competency to act independently as First On-Call and provide ICU cover. Previous NHS or HSC experience essential. Valid medical indemnity insurance. Two professional references. Right to Work in the UK. Full occupational health clearance including Hepatitis B, HIV and TB.

Compliance: All candidates must complete HSC Northern Ireland enhanced compliance including Enhanced AccessNI, GMC verification, occupational health and references prior to commencement. Everest Recruitment will guide you through this process.
