Building Surveying Manager

Everest Recruitment is recruiting two permanent Building Surveying Managers for a local authority in Ipswich. This is a full-time role, with an expected two days on site each week. Salary is £48,738–£50,908. An early start is preferred.

You will lead surveying professionals and technical officers, delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance and major capital improvements to council housing. The role includes managing projects, budgets, contractors and procurement; overseeing specifications and statutory approvals; resolving complex complaints; and advising senior leaders.

Applicants must have a building related BSc degree or equivalent professional qualification, at least five years’ relevant experience, an IOSH Managing Safely certificate, and experience supervising staff and managing projects. Detailed knowledge of gas, electrical and health and safety requirements is essential. Local authority or housing association experience and membership of a relevant professional body are desirable.
