Everest Recruitment and Services Ltd is recruiting Chefs for temporary assignments in the YO17 area of North Yorkshire.
Start Date: 02 September 2026
Positions Available: 2
Shift Pattern: Day shifts and weekend shifts
Hours: Approximately 80 hours of cover available per week across the placements
Contract: Temporary
Role Overview
We are seeking reliable and experienced Chefs to provide temporary catering support for our client. Candidates should be comfortable working flexibly, including weekends and providing short-notice cover when available.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to the required standard.
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary requirements and IDDSI guidance.
- Follow food hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
- Follow appropriate food storage and temperature-control procedures.
- Complete relevant kitchen and food-safety records.
- Work effectively with other members of the team.
- Follow all client health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Food Hygiene Level 2
- IDDSI training/knowledge
- Relevant Chef training
- Previous experience working as a Chef
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparation
- Ability to work day and weekend shifts
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Ability to assist with short-notice cover where available
