Qualified Social Worker – Children's Services

Everest Recruitment & Services Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Resilience & Safeguarding team in Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within Children's Services, supporting vulnerable children and families through high-quality statutory social work practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and families within statutory Children's Services.
• Complete Child & Family Assessments, Child Protection investigations and Children in Need assessments.
• Develop and review care plans to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
• Work closely with schools, police, health professionals and partner agencies.
• Prepare reports for court proceedings, reviews and case conferences.
• Participate in safeguarding meetings and multi-agency planning.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation, statutory guidance and organisational policies.

Essential Requirements

• Degree or recognised qualification in Social Work.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Previous experience within UK Children's Social Work.
• Strong knowledge of UK safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
• Excellent assessment, report-writing and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Surrey where required.
