We are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a primary school in Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA looking for an immediate, short-term placement, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
• Leading small group sessions and interventions
• Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN
• Maintaining a positive and structured learning environment
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a school setting
• Confidence in leading small group sessions independently
• Strong understanding of classroom support and behaviour management
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Compliance
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Right to Work in the UK
• References available
