Job Overview

 

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated care workers to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in residential homes or within the community. The role involves assisting service users with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

• Provide personal care support (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting).

• Assist with mobility and safe transfers.

• Support with meal preparation and feeding if required.

• Administer or prompt medication as per care plans.

• Maintain accurate care records and reports.

• Offer emotional support and companionship.

• Assist with light household duties (for home care roles).

• Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour.

• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures.

• Work as part of a team with healthcare professionals and families.

         

What You Should Do (As a Care Worker)

• Treat all service users with respect, dignity, and patience.

• Follow the individual care plan for each person.

• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

• Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members.

• Complete required training and professional development.

• Adhere to guidelines set by the Northern Ireland Social Care Council.

• Follow workplace policies under UK regulations in the United Kingdom.
