Everest Recruitment and Services Ltd is urgently recruiting experienced Domiciliary Care Workers for temporary assignments with a CQC-regulated home-care service in Weymouth.

The successful candidates will visit people in their own homes and provide respectful, person-centred support. A full UK driving licence is essential. A vehicle may be provided for work-related travel.

Main responsibilities

• Provide personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy and independence.
• Support individuals with medication in accordance with their care plans and training.
• Assist with meals, hydration, mobility and daily living activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Travel between service users’ homes according to the allocated rota.
• Observe and report changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care notes and medication records.
• Follow safeguarding, infection-control and health and safety procedures.
• Report concerns, incidents or missed visits promptly.
• Work professionally with service users, relatives and care coordinators.

Essential requirements

Applicants must have:

• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous care or support-work experience.
• Domiciliary or community-care experience preferred.
• Experience supporting with medication.
• Current mandatory care training.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• A compassionate, reliable and professional approach.
• Flexibility to work morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• The right to work in the United Kingdom.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to complete the required checks.

A work vehicle may be available, so applicants are not necessarily required to use their own car. Driving-document checks will be completed before placement.

Accommodation

B&B accommodation may be arranged for suitable candidates who need to stay locally. Availability, cost and other conditions will be explained before an assignment is accepted.
