Everest Recruitment and Services is currently recruiting for an experienced KS2 Teacher for a full-time summer term cover position at a primary school in the Hatch Beauchamp area of Somerset.

This is a full-time temporary position running for the duration of the summer term 2026, with an immediate start available.

The Role: Working as a KS2 class teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons across the KS2 national curriculum, managing a class of primary aged pupils effectively and with confidence, assessing and tracking pupil progress in line with school assessment policy, contributing to parents evenings and staff meetings as required, and working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning throughout the school. You will be expected to create an engaging and purposeful learning environment where every pupil is challenged, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Essential Criteria: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Demonstrable experience teaching within Key Stage 2. Strong subject knowledge across the KS2 national curriculum. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. Ability to plan and deliver lessons independently with minimal lead time. Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check required prior to commencement. Candidates on the DBS Update Service are strongly preferred. Right to Work in the United Kingdom. Must be based within commutable distance of the Hatch Beauchamp area of Somerset and available to start immediately.

Desirable: Previous supply or cover teaching experience. Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems used in primary schools. Experience working within a multi-academy trust environment.
