Everest Recruitment and Services Ltd is currently supporting a primary school in Somerset seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide short-term classroom support pending permanent recruitment.

This is a temporary opportunity ideal for candidates with experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities
• Support pupil engagement and behaviour management
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment

🔹 Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 08:45 AM – 12:30 PM
• Duration: Approx. 3–4 weeks (subject to recruitment outcome)

🔹 Requirements

• Previous experience working with SEN children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
