1:1 Teaching Assistant

Everest Recruitment and Services Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a primary education client for two dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school from September 2026.

This temporary assignment is initially scheduled from 7 September 2026 until 2 October 2026, with the possibility of extension depending on the client's ongoing requirements.

Working Hours

• 8:45am – 3:15pm
• Monday to Friday
• Flexible or shorter working hours may be considered for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Assist with learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
• Support the implementation of individual learning and behaviour plans.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or educational setting is desirable.
• A patient, caring and professional approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
