Everest Recruitment and Services is currently recruiting for an experienced EYFS Teacher for a full-time summer term cover position at a primary school in the Somerset area.

This is a full-time temporary position running for the duration of the summer term 2026, with an immediate start available.

The Role: Working as an EYFS class teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and high quality lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum framework and Development Matters guidance. You will create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and supported. You will assess and track pupil progress accurately, maintain clear and up to date records, and communicate effectively with parents, carers and school colleagues throughout the placement.

Essential Criteria: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Demonstrable experience teaching within the EYFS phase. Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Development Matters framework. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check required prior to commencement. Candidates on the DBS Update Service are strongly preferred. Right to Work in the United Kingdom. Must be based within commutable distance of the Somerset area and available to start immediately.
